Then we have a short discussion about why PC gaming isn’t going to die and how developers can help in preventing the exodus.

The music this week was all by Aussie hip hop group, The Hilltop Hoods.

CLOSING NOTES: As we say in the episode, there will be a short hiatus because of employment and me moving house and not having the internet in any decent capacity. We hope to rectify this situation very soon.

The Downunder Gamer Show: Spooky Outhouse Showcase 001: The Down Under, Story Hodge Podge Swarm

This episode has been marked explicit!

A couple of months back I had the opportunity to join other hosts of various shows over at our parent site Spooky Outhouse. So I was joined by David from The Podgecast, Scott from Story Schtick and Rob from Bear Swarm!

Now a note that this isn’t a normal PC games show, we actually discuss roleplaying games however, I personally found it very entertaining to listen to so I would recommend it anyway as you get to listen to a few guys havin a casual chat about podcasting and RPGs.

So have a listen and enjoy, I quick note that it was about 5:30am for me so I’m a little slow at the start, but it was still a bunch of fun.

The Downunder Gamer Show: Quick Note

Hey kids, Rib here.

Just letting you in on a little bit of insider information.

There wont be an episode this week due to the fact that E3 is on and it would be silly to release a podcast during the expo so We’re going to wait for this upcomming weekend to drop it into your laps.

Just a reminder to drop us a line at the Mailbag located along the top and ask us questions, anything you want and we’ll try our best to answer it on the show.

Well, thats all, keep an eye out on all the game press this week, it’s the biggest week in gaming for a reason and we can’t wait till we sink our teeth into all the big news and all that jazz.

So keep dancin’

The Downunder Gamer Show: Status Update

Hey guys, long time no see.

Well there is some good news and some bad news. I’ll start with the good!

We recorded and have ready an episode yay! Soon you’ll be able to hear our melodic sexy Australian voices again, get excited!

The bad news. Our dumbass content host has decided to assimilate to Libsyn and leavin us stranded as we can’t afford to host the content at the moment (Libsyn charges for all plans, don’t have a free one). So right now we’re unable to host an episode until we find a new one.

The worst bit of all is that now we’re going to have to upload every episode through a new host, which no doubt will take some time to get done but until we find a solution we’ll be stuck here in limbo.

We thank all you folks out there (and your mums) for sticking with us, we go into detail about the dramas we have had lately with PCs and a bunch of other crap that you’ll have heard about if you follow me on Twitter.

So again, thanks for everything, we’ll have this rectified soon and we’ll be able to release an episode the second it’s done.

The Downunder Gamer Show: Downunder Gamers Episode 012: Lexcalibre

Hey there folks, Ribguy here again with another thrilling episode of The Downunder Gamers.

This week we tryout a new format, a new name and a new intro. Then we talk about some news, followed by a bunch of games we’ve been playing. Lex has joined us from his deathbed to talk in length about QuakeLive and some things about being a great champion of Team Steve (and being a team-killing fucktard)

Then, Ice gets an erection as we talk about World of Warcraft and why no other game seems able to knock it off the top.

Now I have a bunch of things I need to link.

Firstly, this week’s sponsor the Lexcalibre [NSFW]

Lex wanted me to link both developer journals for Star Wars: The Old Republic (*cough* galaxies) courtesy of 1Up.

Some QuakeLive love, join in and add “crackedrib” and I’ll give you the names of the other DUG hosts.

Also, found the name of the guy who did the Tunnel Full of Dicks song, Michael Althouse, I got the first name right, but failed on the surname.

Twitters (FOR TEH FOLLOWZ!):

Rib

Ice

Lex

If I have forgotten anything on this list of shownotes, hit us up on Twitter or alternatively on the forum!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the show,

The Downunder Gamer Show: DUG Weekly Episode 011: The Tunnel

Hey guys, this weeks I open with a disclaimer about my recording, followed by a song I hope will make you forgive me.

After that, we talk about Midway’s demise, Quake Live, Dawn of War 2 and Lex’s impressions on Street Fighter IV.

However, Ice isn’t with us so it is a bizarre mix of late night and just Rib and Lex. ENJOY!

Hey guys, Rib here again proudly giving you episode 10 of the show!

This week we talk about a lot of things, games, comics, communist Aussies, foolish South Australians and segues! More importantly, we talk about the R18 rating denial of Oz, comic games and movies, new releases and DLC for existing ones. Seriously, it’s ACTION PACKED!

So I hope you all enjoy this week’s episode, we apologise for the lateness, but I’m sure you’re getting sick of this by now.
